Theatre directorCarmen is an unconventional creator of worlds for the audience in theatres. She leaves on the stage an outstanding mixture of passion, creativity and emotions.
Carmen Vidu is the youngest theatre director at the National Theatre in Bucharest for the past 10 years. With a fascinating esthetic sense, Carmen takes theatre approach to a new level, combining phenomenal role play with dynamic set up and multimedia theatre. Using the means of multimedia and unconventional music she has managed to create an atmosphere of TV shows and underground in her plays.
Carmen celebrates imagination and emotion in every single play she directs. In 2006 "Baby Smile" performance, inspired by the sonnet 120 of W. Shakespeare, was very well received by the critics and public. The following year, "Nightingale and the rose" by Oscar Wilde impressed through the stunning multimedia show.
