Gabriella Ficz
Research scientistGabriella Ficz is a Romanian research scientist in the field of Epigenetics. She focuses her work in finding molecules involved in the process of erasing the cellular memory.
Her first contact with the field of Epigenetics was during the time when she worked for her PhD thesis - at the elite University of Goettingen. Since 2005 she has been a member of Babraham Institute in Cambridge, United Kingdom. Her original scientific work brought her recognition in Romania, but also outside our country's borders.
Her greatest wish is to make a number of important discoveries that would significantly accelerate the therapeutic applications in the field of Regenerative Medicine.
At TEDxBucharest, Gabriella will amaze the audience with the fascinating world of Epigenetics and stem cell research.
