Congratulations to everyone who was involved in submitting ideas. All of the submitted ideas were trully remarkable, but unfortunately we can't send more than twenty invitations.

At TEDxBucharest it's all about "Ideas worth spreading".

So whether you are a student running an innovative start-up, a technology guru, an artist with something new & different to communicate etc., just send us a proof of your incredible good/hard work (at contest@tedxbucharest.com). Your answer should be related to the question: "How can we contribute to a positive change in the world?". You are free to be visionary and expand your ideas from: Global Issues, Country Issues, Business Plans, Art, IT, CSR to Personal Action Plan.

We offer 20 places at TEDxBucharest for the most "Extraordinary Ideas" and by participating, you'll have the chance to join us at TEDxBucharest this fall and also make your work known.

All you have to do is follow these simple 3 steps.
Step1: Register for the "Extraordinary Ideas" TEDxBucharest contest
Step2: Send your Ideas' presentation to contest@tedxbucharest.com in one of the following forms: Power Point, Business Plan, Short Movie, Audio Piece, Pictures& Descriptions until 1st of October 2009.
Step3: On the 5th of October check our website www.tedxbucharest.com for the list of winners at TEDxBucharest 2009

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx.
TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
Our event is called TEDxBucharest, where x=independently organized TED event. At our TEDxBucharest event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.

The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
