We're an enthusiastic group of volunteers based in Bucharest who are passionate about TED and generating "Ideas Worth Spreading". Over the past months we dedicated our time on organizing TEDxBucharest 2009.

Venue
We wanted to find a venue that would provide an intimate atmosphere and an environment where ideas could be easily exchanged.
Our location is a dynamic cultural platform.Situated in the University Square, in the very center of Bucharest, CNDB is located at the 3rd and 4th floor on the north side of The National Theatre.
Thus, the "Essence of a Changing World" starts at the very heart of Bucharest.
Attendees
At it's core, TEDxBucharest is a webcast event open to anyone who wants to watch. It will be fully produced - just like TED - and access will be free for anyone with a computer and web connection.
Attendance is by invitation only. Yet through the Extraordinary Ideas Contest 20 of you can join us as delegates at TEDxBucharest 2009 by taking part in the contest and sending us your Extraordinary Ideas .
Program
TEDxBucharest was held Fiday, October 16th.
Starting with 10.00 am, our guests emerged in a remarkable world of ideas worth spreading.
